Cristina Ferrari, a luxury beachwear designer, is the founder of the Fisico brand. Known as “the lady of charm in a bikini,” she revolutionized the concept of swimwear by transforming it into a glamorous garment, bringing it for the first time to the runways of Milano Collezioni, and later to cities such as Paris, New York, Miami, London, and Moscow. Her creations stand out for their elegance, sensuality, and attention to detail, with influences drawn from her travels. In the 1990s, she was among the first to introduce innovations such as microfiber and double-layered fabrics. In 2016, she sold the Fisico brand to Olmar and Mirta S.p.A., continuing to collaborate until 2019.

Today, she continues her journey with her brand CF Cristina Ferrari.

The designer finds a fundamental source of inspiration for her collections in travel, transforming lived experiences into creativity and a unique style.

Brazil was crucial to the beginning of her journey: during a trip to the South American country, she was struck by the intense colors, breathtaking landscapes, and the sensuality of the local culture. It was here that the idea of creating exclusive swimwear was born—garments Made in Italy in fit and materials, yet capable of expressing energy and vitality.

America, and particularly Texas, offered her an encounter with a world of vastness and freedom, among deserts, endless skies, and rodeo atmospheres. This influenced her choice of warm palettes, bold prints, and more defined lines that evoke strength and personality.

Japan represented a moment of introspection and refinement for Cristina: Japanese culture, attention to detail, the balance between minimalism and ornamentation, and the beauty of fabrics inspired her approach to material craftsmanship, textures, and delicate, sophisticated color combinations.

These journeys were never merely touristic: for Cristina Ferrari, they became laboratories of color, form, and culture, transformed into collections in which every bikini, swimsuit, or resortwear piece tells a story of a place, an emotion, a particular light.
